Our flagship product was Picture It, originally for use with Microsoft Windows 3.1, which included 900 black and white picture symbols. It was a proof-of-concept teacher tool which succeeded. Its success allowed us to improve and expand it, while developing other software products.
Picture It software has evolved to version 5.2, which includes a library of approximately 10,500 Literacy Support Pictures™, text-to-speech, easy importing. It currently works on both Macintosh and Windows systems, to include MacOS 10.4 and above and Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7.
Our product line has grown over the last 16 years to include our very popular PixWriter software. PixWriter has been the key success instrument for students communicating through the written word since the day it was placed on the market.
To support Picture It and PixWriter, the Simply Science and Read and Tell series, as well as several other Teacher Resources provide ready-to-use teacher materials. Jean and Jim ensure that everything that Slater Software produces is first effective and second saves teachers' time.
